The historic neighborhoods ringing downtown Orlando, Delaney Park, Thornton Park, Lake Eola Heights and the streets around Lake Cherokee and Lake Davis, are the city's oldest residential blocks: 1910s to 1940s bungalows, Colonial Revivals and Mediterraneans on brick streets under enormous live oaks, a short walk from Lake Eola and its holiday tree. They are about thirty minutes from our Apopka shop and sit on our Orlando route with College Park and Baldwin Park.

These homes reward detail over size. A downtown design typically runs warm white C9 bulbs along the main roofline and porch gable, garland on the porch rails and around the columns, wreaths on the gables and warm white mini lights in the porch ceiling, with a trunk-and-limb wrap on the oak in the front yard that lights the whole lot. Lakefront homes on Lake Cherokee and Lake Davis add the rear elevation for the view from the paths. Thornton Park's townhomes and brownstone-style homes take a simpler roofline-and-wreath treatment.

Downtown's historic districts are protected by the city's preservation rules rather than an HOA, which mostly means no fasteners in original wood, and our clips and ties satisfy that without a variance. The practical challenges are parking and traffic: brick streets are narrow, many homes have no driveway, and Lake Eola's December crowds close some blocks on weekends. We schedule downtown installs for weekday mornings, park one truck, and work from ladders rather than a lift wherever the oaks allow. What you get is the same as everywhere: a display on a timer, repairs at no charge, and a January takedown that leaves the porch exactly as we found it.
