Christmas Light Installation in Winter Haven, FL

Winter Haven is the Chain of Lakes city in the middle of Polk County, home to the old Cypress Gardens site, a lively downtown and a December boat parade that makes lakefront lighting a local sport. Homes range from mid-century lakefront ranches and lake cottages to the 55-plus community of Lake Ashton and newer subdivisions on the city's edges. It is about sixty-five minutes from our Apopka shop, so we run Winter Haven on dedicated Polk route days with Haines City and Lakeland.

Lakefront homes are the Winter Haven specialty. We light the street-facing roofline in warm white or multicolor C9 bulbs and then carry the design to the water: rear roofline, dock, boathouse and seawall, so the house reads from the chain during the boat parade. Trunk wraps on the cypress and oaks along the shore finish it. Lake Ashton and the other gated communities have display windows and want a certificate of insurance, which we provide, and their single-story homes with palms take a simple warm white roofline and wreath. Downtown and Inwood homes are older and simpler, with big lots that suit a wrapped tree.

Polk route days run two or three times a week from late October through November, and Winter Haven homes are grouped by lake and neighborhood so several can be lit in one visit. A route fee, if any, is shown on the quote and usually waived when neighbors on the same lake book together. Timers run dusk to bedtime, maintenance is free all season, and we return in January for takedown and storage.
